Sorry I misunderstood what I read and thought you were attacking me. My apologies to Jorge . I meant no form of attack I like to be proved wrong, and thanks for that extra tidbit Adz because I learned something something new, which contradicts everything I just said. I've never heard about Nostoc so...

Jorge what are you referencing to? I didn't complicate any concept of prokaryotes being unicellular. Also, you keep referring to cyanobacteria and slime molds. The question at hand is asking, are there multicellular prokaryotes, which I provided a fairly thorough and correct answer because there are...

Re: Multicellular prokaryote

Sorry to be over the top with the response, but I find that it helps me learn the material better by summarizing what I read, and then explaining it in a way which I can understand. This entire forum is perfect for that.

First off, the question at hand is an oxymoron. The only somewhat correct answers are given by Adz and Jorge. Prokaryotes are not multicellular and saying that they are is contradictory to anything that is evidently known about them. Since the question is ambiguously termed, I am taking it in the co...

Re: Good Biology Books For A level

Well then I couldn't tell you. I personally try and look for school text books through torrents and try to download them, except they are pretty hard to find.

Other than that I love this forum for expanding my learning capabilities, it really does help.

I don't know if hotlinking is allowed but I did come across a cool article, which definitely proves the potential abilities of Stem Cell research.

Re: Cellular respiration questions..

For one you are missing the main concept of cellular respiration. The whole entire process of cellular respiration can be simplified as the breakdown of glucose (C 6 H 12 O 6 ) to carbon dioxide, water, and energy. Why do cells carry out cellular respiration? So they can build up ATP molecules. The ...

Re: Protein Synthesis/DNA replication question. PLEASE HELP

So the question is how can these two processes [DNA Replication and Protein Synthesis(transcription/translation)] take place simulataneously? You need to be more specific like Jack stated. Because actual protein synthesis is carried out by the ribosome and can only happen after DNA replication. Unl...

Are you looking for more information regarding some things in the book that are broadly covered, or are you looking for other books to expand your insight for biology?

Honestly I'm not sure because peroxisome was only broadly covered. However, I did search peroxisome on wikipedia and I'm pretty sure they cover what you're asking.
