The name or species of this bird?

Hi guys,

I saw this bird in Taiwan, it can elongate its neck. Anyone know the name or species of this bird? I tried to google birds that can elongate its neck, but show nothing similar to this bird.

Yes, agree with JackBean, missense mutation will alter the amino acid. If may not alter the amino acid, we call that silent mutation.

The apoplast and symplast pathways are two different pathways by which water can move through the root of a plant. Water in the apoplast pathway moves from cell to cell via spaces in the cellulose cell walls until it reaches the endodermis. At the endodermis, there is the 'apoplast block' - the cell...

Duplex can be formed by few ways:
1. RNA dependent RNA Polymerase (RdR)
2. Single strand folded to become double strand
3. Retrotransposon

Depends on what kind of organism is it...

Sense RNA is mRNA, which can code for protein or RNA as end product. Therefore if the sense RNA (mRNA) is code of RNA as end product, its corresponding strand later will form a duplex, cut by dicer, combine with other protein and modification then form siRNA or miRNA which will knockdown transcripti...

mtDNA is maternal inherited, means we get the mtDNA from our mother only (with few exception is paternal inherited only). But I dont think we can trace back to 10k years ago, this is because there are other factors that may cause mtDNA variation
