Re:

nhutton - OMG - Really? You obviously know nothing of evolution. Can you name one dis-proven fact? You see facts are things that have been proven already. I'm guessing you do not know the details of the last 10 years as well as the detail are know and proven for the evolutionary process of the last...

In laymen terms, when evolution switches gears (major environmental change) large portion of population will die. Original argument was that calculated loss in population is such a case disproves evolution. However, a lot of assumptions were made incorrectly in that argument, thus, making it invalid.

Re: Which has a greater impact of evolution, mutations or genet

Am I correct in stating that, within a population of sexually reproducing organisms, genetic recombination produces more genetic variation compared to mutations and thus is a more important source on of variability on which natural selection operates, whereas in populations of organisms that reprod...

Re:

Theory 2) At one point, humans will probably stop growing body hair because of an evolutionary mechanism that will influence mutation and cause our offspring to not have hair follicles, because they are not necessary or helpful anymore. Point 1: Mutations are random. They do not select to happen wh...

Re: Is talent inherited?

As I said before, there is no such thing as "equal cerebral health". Not even in twins - identical genetics + different epigenetics. ...there is nothing innate within the intellectual capability of a person like talents, inclinations or inherited abilities. All that forms the dispositions ...

I don't know about the effect on the enzyme. However, Mn stabilizes double stranded DNA and from practical PCR standpoint - excessive magnesium allows for annealing and elongation of mismatched primers.

Re: Is talent inherited?

No. Amongst people with equal cerebral health, there is nothing innate within the intellectual capability of a person like talents, inclinations or inherited abilities. All that forms the dispositions and the personality of an individual comes solely from their growth. The reason for this is the na...

"High yield plasmid" means that host cells make a lot of copies per cell and that usually results in high plasmid concentration in the final DNA preparation. Alternatively, larger volume of stating material to smaller volume elution can be used to concentrate low yield plasmid prep...

That's multiple questions. Was the blueprint of all biological features in the first cell? No, if you believe in evolution from single cell to multicellular organisms. What makes a living thing develop these features? Genetic program. Think of it as a computer program that starts executing at the ti...

Re:

Tomn , Fantastic thread! It just goes to show that evolution has so many holes. It is no wonder why many atheists and those who believe in evolution now are saying that aliens have created us. They CANNOT DENY the evidence for an intelligent creator, yet, they just don't want Yahweh, so they resort...
