Dear Lesley, I just stumbled upon your post. I haven't been on this site in quite awhile so I'm sorry that I was not able to get to you sooner. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE AN AXIETY DISORDER AND I BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE HAVING SEVERE MEDICAL PROBLEMS . I believe there is a very good chance that you...

Hmmm...

Well, there are a few reasons I can think of why the teacher used alcohol on the student... First of all, alcohol is a germicide so it would kill bacteria on the affected area. The initial effects of alcohol rubbed onto the skin is a cooling and drying sensation. Alcohol is commonly wiped onto the s...

oh yeah...

It's definately the influx of hormones that will raise body temperature. When my friend Nikki was pregnant her hormones were so whacked out that she would sweat all the time. She kept the air conditioner on all the time...even when it was 20 degrees outside in the middle of December!

Unbelievable!

...one doctor actually said to me "I'm not God you know"... My, my. What charming bedside manner. It's no wonder your problem hasn't been diagnosed. If it bothers him so much to do his job then he shouldn't be practicing medicine. As for you I'd seek a second opinion about your condition f...

Pretty good article mith....

This is in general a very well thought out and well written article on celiac disease. It touches on a lot of important information, how many different products can have gluten in them, how diagnosis can be a problem because the symptoms can match so many different disorders, etc. There are only a f...

Hmmm....

Hey Mith. I live in New Jersey, and the restaurant company I work for is a chain, but they only operate on the east coast. I wish I knew more about restaurants in other areas of the united states that are gluten free. Most restaurants overlook gluten allergies or allergies in general, and most docto...

Backatcha baby!

Correct you are, there is no immune response. Perhaps I wasn't clear on that. But speaking from a hospitality perspective, most guest claims of food intolerance are still treated as an allergy in our restaurant. We have no idea how much of the food in question they are able to eat before it causes n...

An allergy response...

Well, perhaps this might answer both your questions. First of all, yes you can have allergic reactions to sugar. There is such a thing called sucrose intolerance and this usually is related to celiac sprue disease. Since celiac allergies are allergies to gluten, it makes sense that a sugar sensitivi...

Wait just a second...yeah...sounds like celiac disease

I just looked over my original post and realized something. You said you are gaining weight, not losing weight. That changes things a bit. Tapeworms can cause distention of the stomach, but they usually cause weightloss, versus weight gain. Since you said that you have weight gain along with the oth...

Another possibility...

A gluten/celiac allergy or an STD may both be possibilities. What concerns me is what you said about elimination diets. Are you just referring to cutting out certain foods to test for a food allergy? Or when you refer to elimination diet are you referring to a diet to help clean out your colon? One ...

A response on unilateral deuteranopia...

First of all, by definition, you are not technically considered color blind. The only people who are able to refer to themselves as being color blind are monochromats. These individuals have no functioning cones in their eyes and see everything in shades of lightness (white, grey, and black). Acer y...
