Eat a couple bananas while you're at it. :P The potassium won't hurt.

Sounds kinda' like a deviated septum. It generally doesn't cause any problems aside from inhibited sinus drainage -- a CT scan of your sinuses can tell your doc whether it's severe enough to need surgical correction.

Hydrocortisone is pretty weak compared to other steroids, like prednisone and dexamethasone (for comparison's sake, hydrocortisone is about a fourth of the strength of prednisone, and dexamethasone is around 50x as potent). There are also topical immunomodulators (Protopic and Elidel) out there for ...

Many with panic disorder resort to alcohol because it's a quick, temporary fix for their problems, but in the long run, the cons outweigh the pros and the potential for addiction is greatly increased. As for what can treat panic disorder... any antianxiety agent. Xanax and Klonopin are common ones. ...

It really is stupid, as Botox is not a cure for the wrinkles -- just a "band-aid", so to speak. One needs these injections several times a year.
Perhaps if it were more permanent, I'd think of it as a better idea.

I don't know about the evolution question you asked, but carnivores maintain thermostasis through hyperventilation (think of panting dogs in the summertime).

It's also interesting to see how such a small, diluted amount of Clostridium botulinum can be responsible for that much; larger amounts cause disseminated paralysis, respiratory failure, and death. One would think that would daunt people, but we've become such a superficial society willing to do any...

Isolation is key, since there is not yet a cure. I'd suppose prophylactic treatment with antiviral therapies would also be beneficial, but I remember reading that it wasn't 100% effective.
Those viral hemorrhagic fevers are a mysterious bunch.

Oh yeah, myocarditis. Anything that inflames the heart like a Coxsackie virus can result in chronic heart failure or dilated cardiomyopathy; the former of which is a serious problem, the latter which can potentially be a problem. About the transplant, I don't know, but it could very well be true wit...

If you have allergies or chronic sinusitis, you can get them treated, and it should go away with time. If you don't have any such problems, you're out of luck -- it's hereditary, and you'd only be able to minimize the appearance of them with makeup. Take most ads you see for "miracles" wit...

And that darkness is caused by venous congestion around the eye. Those vessels fill with blood and cause that nasty-looking darkness.

I have to really cake on the concealer most mornings to cover my circles up. :/
