Endocrine system

The system of glands that release their secretions (hormones) directly into the circulatory system. In addition to the endocrine glands, included are the chromaffin system and the neurosecretory systems. The system of glands that produce endocrine secretions that help to control bodily metabolic activity.The collective system involved in hormone production, excretion and execution of the hormones. The hormones used by the system act as chemical messengers which allow a way of cells communicating with one another, alongside the nervous system, also capable of this.

major organs in the endocrine system include the pituitary gland and the pancreas .
