Wolff, Kaspar Friedrich

(Science: person) In 1759 was appointed professor of anatomy and physiology at St Petersburg. Was one of the founders of modern embryology and established the doctrine of the germ layers.

Lived: 1733-1794. B. Berlin, d. St. Petersburg, Feb 22nd, 1794.
