Wobble hypothesis

wobble hypothesis

(Science: molecular biology) explains why the base inosine is included in position 1 in the anticodons of various t rNAs, why many mRNA codon words translate to a single amino acid, why there are appreciably fewer t RNAs than mRNA codon types and why the redundant nature of the genetic code translates into a precise set of 20 amino acids.

inosine in position 1 in the anticodon can base pair with A, u or C in position 3 in the mRNA codon, so that for example UCU, UCC, UCA all code for serine using an inosine anticodon.

Re: Morpholino review: how to knockdown

... that targets the start of the coding sequence and introducing wobble-base mutations at five or more positions in the start of the rescue ... targeting the same gene produce the same phenotype, this supports the hypothesis that the observed phenotype is due to the knockdown of the targeted ...

Why I think Neo-darwinism is dead

This is my hypothesis. I thought I'd run it by this forum to see what happens. Personally I believe ... that allowed them to stay on their feet. It’s no different with animals….animals wobble back and forth physically so they can avoid falling over (extinction). And since ...
