Wet and dry bulb thermometer



(meteorology) A meteorologic instrument comprised of two thermometer bulbs (where one is kept dry and the other is kept wet) to measure the tension of the aqueous vapour of the surrounding air so that the difference in readings can be used to determine the (relative) humidity condition of the atmosphere
