Wangiella

Wangiella

A dematiaceous genus of fungi characterised by phialides without collarettes, a black yeastlike colony with yeast forms, and later hyphae; the fungi grow well at 40�C. Wangiella dermatitidis is an etilogical agent of phaeohyphomycosis.
