A unit of a logarithmic scale for expressing the power level of a complex audio-frequency electrical signal, such as that transmitting music or speech; the power in volume unit's equals the decibels of power above a reference level of one milliwatt, as measured with an appropriate meter.

... aliquot should work, if you want dilute it too much (say you will use 1 volume unit per 1 mass unit, i. e. 1 ml of your solution per 1 g of natto)
