Latin term for oral vestibule, which is the outermost portion forming an entrance into the alimentary canal.


Word origin: Late Latin ōrālis, from Latin ōs, ōr-, mouth + Latin vestibulum, forecourt, entrance.

Synonym: oral vestibule, vestibule of mouth.
