Vaginal thrush



An infection of the vaginal mucous membranes caused by Candida species (especially Candida albicans).


Symptoms include pruritis, burning sensation in the vulvar region, vaginal discharge, erythema, and labial swelling. Diagnosis involves microscopic examination of the vaginal discharge.
