Uterine tube

uterine tube

One of the tubes leading on either side from the upper or outer extremity of the ovary, which is largely enveloped by its expanded infunclibulum, to the fundus of the uterus; it consists of infundibulum, ampulla, isthmus, and uterine parts.

Synonym: salpinx uterina, tuba uterina, salpinx, fallopian tube, gonaduct, oviduct, tuba fallopiana, tuba fallopii. Either of a pair of tubes conducting the egg from the ovary to the uterus.Either of a pair of tubes conducting the egg from the ovary to the uterus.

Delayed Implantation

... worked. The egg is fertilized right away, but isn't implanted into the uterine wall until the time is right... but where is it located in between? Is it in the fallopian tube? Is it in the uterus but not "implanted" yet? Does anybody actually know?

Human Reproduction Questions - help please

... net. can anyone please help 1) the epithelial lining of the Fallopian tube consists of numerous folds, explain why such folds are present. 2) what ... of the uterus receives the blastocyst? 3) what is the role of the outer uterine layer? Like to thank you in advance for the help. cheers!
