umbridae

A family of salmoniformes comprising the mudminnows. There are three genera: dallia, novumbra, and umbra with much disagreement about their taxonomic interrelations. The umbridae are freshwater fish inhabiting parts of the northern hemisphere. (nelson: fishes of the world)
