Classification of non-coding RNA

We wish to share RNAcon, a web-server for the prediction and classification of non-coding RNAs. It uses SVM-based model for the discrimination between coding and ncRNAs and RandomForest-based prediction model for the classification of ncRNAs into different classes. The structural information based g...

Re: Comprehensive List of long noncoding RNA(lncRNA) databases

This new database could be useful to many researchers interested in lncRNAs involved in respiratory infections caused by influenza and SARS-CoV viruses: (1) MONOCLdb , the MOuse NOnCode Lung database, a database for mouse long non-coding RNAs (lncRNA) involved in Influenza and SARS-CoV infections. w...

Re: A dilution question about RNA

Why, for God's sake would you make a DNase treatment in 1ml??? You would take around 30 ul of your RNA (100ug / 3.3ug/ul), add the DNase worth few tens of bucks at least, 100 ul of 10x buffer and water up to 1 ml.

RNA integrity and RNA fragmentation?

After RNA isolation and before following experiments, I know that RNA quality so called RNA integrity is so important. So why there is a RNA fragmentation kit? Do we need RNA intact or fragmented?
