(Science: zoology) A division of annelids including those which construct, and habitually live in, tubes. The head or anterior segments usually bear gills and cirri.

Synonym: Sedentaria, and Capitibranchiata. See serpula, and sabella.

Origin: L. Tubus a tube _ colere to inhabit.
