Blood groups agglutination

By mixing test tube containing Group O cells, UDP-Gal, B-serum with group O serum why would there be agglutination? Can someone please explain the biochemistry behind it?

... Teo things to consider - density and viscosity of your sample (is that only the lymph or do you add anything?) and amount of your sample in the tube/well.

Here's another approach. Set up a pair of tubes identically, containing everything but the xylanase. Check their OD. Add xylanase to one of the tubes and mix. Check the OD again. That way you control for other potential errors, such as a difference ...
