traumatic reticuloperitonitis --> traumatic gastritis

A condition of cattle, caused by the penetration of the stomach wall, usually the reticulum, by any kind of sharp object (usually metallic) which has been swallowed.

Synonym: hardware disease, traumatic reticuloperitonitis.
