trapezohedron

(Science: chemistry) A solid bounded by twenty-four equal and similar trapeziums; a tetragonal trisoctahedron. See the note under Trisoctahedron.

A tetartohedral solid of the hexagonal system, bounded by six trapezoidal planes. The faces of this form are common on quartz crystals.
