I also didn't say anything like that. The GNG takes place in liver and starts when blood glucose level goes down. The transportation is consecutive process.

plasmodesm and gap junction

... (with 20-40 nm diameter). As a result, every plant cell needs plasmodesmata but animal cells haven't any barrier like cell walls for protein transportation. So an animal cell necessarily doesn't have gap junction. But I'm not sure. Is it right? Any idea would be appreciated.
