Transgelin

transgelin

(Science: protein) transformation and shape change sensitive isoform of 21 kD actin binding protein. Highly conserved (as far back as yeast), binds f actin (1:6 transgelin:g actin) and causes gelation. Similar, but not identical, to calponin.
