Toxoplasmosis cerebral

toxoplasmosis, cerebral

infection caused by the protozoan toxoplasma that presents itself in a subacute fashion with headache, focal neurologic signs, seizures, or altered mental status which can progress to coma. This condition is a commonly encountered opportunistic infection in aids patients.
