Torbernite

torbernite

(Science: chemical) A mineral occurring in emerald-green tabular crystals having a micaceous structure. It is a hydrous phosphate of uranium and copper. Called also copper uranite, and chalcolite.

Origin: So named after Torber Bergmann, a Swedish chemist.
