A kind of war hatchet used by the American indians. It was originally made of stone, but afterwards of iron.

Origin: Of American Indian origin; cf. Algonkin tomehagen, Mohegan tumnahegan, Delaware tamoihecan.

To cut, strike, or kill, with a tomahawk.
