(Science: chemical) benzamide derivative with dopamine antagonist actions similar to sulpiride. It has been used as an antipsychotic and in the treatment of various movement disorders.

Pharmacological action: anti-dyskinesia agents, antipsychotic agents, dopamine antagonists.

Chemical name: Benzamide, N-(2-(diethylamino)ethyl)-2-methoxy-5-(methylsulfonyl)-
