(1) (pathology) An infection caused by the presence of the Candida species in various moist parts of the body, characterized by white spots and ulcers.

(2) (ornithology) A common name for any of the group of migratory songbirds, especially in the family Turdidae, characterized by spotted breast and a brownish upper feathers.
