Effects of variation in Flicker Fusion Thresholds (vision)

... flies when you're having fun, a watched pot never boils, and so on. Of particular interest to me is vision and in particular the flicker fusion threshold (FFR); the frequency at which an intermittent stimulus appears continuous. According to the following article this threshold differs from ...

question about G418 sceening test

Hi, I'm quite new to cell culture experiment, so I'm looking for someone who can help me out here. I'm trying to determine a threshold concentration for G418 screening of stable transfected cells (Huh-7). I start with a T25 flask of Huh-7 about 80% confluence, and passed it to a 6 well ...

Re: O level Past paper exam question on gland secretion

... question it is probably to do with diffusion or so (I would assume). Depending if it's a Neuroendocrine molecule it will need to reach a minimum threshold or exceed that threshold of receptor-molecule complexes in order to produce a response, small physical size makes it more probable for them ...

Cell wall extension- shearing units??

... appreciated (even if past the deadline, i would still like to know). Here's the section of text; "Wall extension commonly exhibits a yield threshold stress, below which walls do not extend. Although its molecular nature is not well understood, one way to think about the yield threshold ...

for number 1 you have neurotransmitters that induce the initial opening of channels, and as it builds up to the threshold number 2 is based on the physics principle and that a current travels faster with large diameter, there should be a math equation in your physiology book that ...
