talar articular surface of calcaneus

Any of the three facets of the calcaneus that articulate with the overlying talus; the talar articular surface anterior and middle talar articular surface contribute to the talocalcaneonavicular joint and are separated by the tarsal sinus from the posterior talar articular surface which enters into the subtalar joint.

Synonym: facies articularis talaris calcanei.
