Results from our forumATP Synthesis... do organisms need to perform their ATP synthesis in the presence of a membrane? ATTEMPT: Is it because ATP synthase is the molecular machine that synthesises ATP in your body and it is also powered by chemiosmosis.

Re: Are viruses life? Is fire life?... some viruses can metabolize, so they are lives. Viruses do not metabolise. They reproduce and this only when inside the host cell. The host cell synthesises the proteins for the virus using the cell's ribosomes. Are viruses alive? If it were purley a matter of what undergos natural selection ...

Extrusion or exocytosis... envelope. It is a small part of there envelope. BUDDING ON HOST CELL. Actually when virion is incorporated in bacterial or host cell it not only synthesises viral DNA copies but also proteins that are essential for making virus. Viral envelope is made up of complex protein stucture those proteins ...

How are DNA, genes, chromosomes related?... gene", called alleles. However, during the transcription stage of protein synthesis the DNA double helix unwinds and DNA polymerase enzyme synthesises a complimentary primary mRNA chain of nitrogenous bases. What I don't understand is how this ties in with the gene/2 versions/allele terms ...

Translation?... more sensitive then another. So if you search for the relation between the poison and the polymerases, you'll find something about polymerase that synthesises tRNA.
