1. To assign to the same date or period of time; as, to synchronize two events of greek and roman history. Josephus synchronizes Nisan with the egyptian Pharmus.

2. To cause to agree in time; as, to synchronize the movements of different machines; to synchronize clocks.

we used to starve them of serum to synchronize them. can't you just do that?

Since Saccharomyces divides by budding, anything that promotes growth promotes budding. But I suspect you want to use synchronized cultures so that most of the viable cells will be budding at roughly the same time. You could go look up E.B. Lewis' papers on cdc genes. I'm sure they ...

Transfection of cells while in cell-cycle arrest?

Both these cell lines are great for electroporation; electroporation really doesnt need cells to be in G1/S but you can synchronize them after; you can look this up anywhere. Take care mxj
