(Science: anatomy) An inconstant muscle; origin, ramus of ischium; insertion, central tendon of perineum; action, draws back and fixes the central tendon of the perineum; nerve supply, pudendal (perineal).

Synonym: musculus transversus perinei superficialis, superficial transverse muscle of perineum, theile's muscle.
