Summer sores

summer sores --> cutaneous habronaemiasis

chronic granulomatous sores on the skin of horses caused by fly-borne larvae of Draschia megastoma (primarily), habronema muscae, and habronaemiasis majus which are deposited in skin wounds; the lesions are characterised by being pulpy and persistent but usually regress spontaneously in winter.

Synonym: summer sores.
