A medical condition characterized by a uterus that is abnormally large because it does not revert to its normal pre-pregnant size.

Subinvolution occurs when uterine involution is impaired or arrested. Symptoms include abnormally prolonged or excessive lochial discharge, and irregular uterine bleeding and cramp-like pain.
