(Science: agriculture) To ramfy; to tiller, as grain; to shoot out suckers. Solid excretory product evacuated from the bowels.

... past year. Have now gone through about 8 to 10 bouts in the last 7 months. Not fun. I finally called my doctor yesterday and she order several stool sample tests. Of course, by the time my husband picked up the vials, the diarrhea (and burping) had subsided. Now just have to wait til the inevitable ...

DNA extraction from stool

Hello, I need to purify DNA from animals and use my own protocol instead of buying kits all the time. Can anybody suggest a good protocol to purify clean DNA which can be used in PCRs? Thanks.

And, here's the big problem:if you have a test for ova and parasites, even three stool specimens, and get a negative result, that does NOT mean you don't have parasites! However if you get a positive result you most definitely do. ...
