Normal RECIPE for STRACH Hydrolysis: Starch agar composition (g/liter) Beef extract 3 g Soluble starch 10 g Agar 12 g Distilled water 1 liter But should we can use Peptone instead of Beef extract ?

For example if we give energy to some glucose it realeses starch .but we will do bond, but we use energy. dont we use enery to break up bonds? or we use this energy to break up the hdyrogen bonds between glucoses themselves?then how energy affect glucose ...
