(Science: mechanics) Stable equibrium, the kind of equilibrium of a body so placed that if disturbed it returns to its former position, as in the case when the center of gravity is below the point or axis of support; opposed to unstable equilibrium, in which the body if disturbed does not tend to return to its former position, but to move farther away from it, as in the case of a body supported at a point below the center of gravity. Re: Lipid Bilayers vs Micelles

... interaction. In phospholipids, however, the hydrophobic tails have a greater cross-sectional area than the heads, and so they cannot form stable micelles - in other words, the volume of the interior of a hypothetical phospholipid micelle would not allow the hydrophilic heads to make a ...

Refutation of Evolution theory

... supply, CPU, memory, hard drive, video, operating system, etc - nothing to write home about. We assume it originated in water since gas is too unstable and solid is too static. If so, the organism must be contained by some kind of membrane otherwise its precious contents will drift away in the ...

BAP, brassinolide, triacontanol, Amino, kelp foliar question

... in quantity so it could be cheaper, but I did not consider that PGR can fetch such a high price. Most chemicals can last longer and more stable in powder form, so no harm of buying a little more than needed. Another thing is I must consider is the trial and error. I think you know there ...

Is evolution as simple as we think?

... was no evolution of lifeforms for 2 billion years after blue-green algae appeared 2.6 billion years ago. Even if the physical environment was stable, would there not have been other factors such as competition that, coupled with mutation, would have formed a new kind of life form. Considering ...

DNase I stability

... (not about DNase), would be that the decrease of activity is not linear. These things just do not happen linearly. And yes, proteins are more stable in crowd, just think about how it looks in the cell. That's why one need to use balast proteins like BSA in some cases.
