Spinner

spinner

1. One who, or that which, spins one skilled in spinning; a spinning machine.

2. A spider. Long-legged spinners.

3. (Science: zoology) A goatsucker; so called from the peculiar noise it makes when darting through the air.

4. (Science: zoology) A spinneret. Ring spinner, a machine for spinning, in which the twist, given to the yarn by a revolving bobbin, is regulated by the drag of a small metal loop which slides around a ring encircling the bobbin, instead of by a throstle.

Question re: Overhead suspension flasks

... "suspension flask" is a container that allows for cell suspension cultures. When I add "overhead" into the mix I come up with spinner flasks...flasks that can be mixed or spun from overhead. Are these findings/assumptions correct? Urological overhead suspension flask is not ...

The Fiber Disease

... It seems the release of this disease may have been unintentional but there's a cover up due to the fact that this will be a huge money-spinner for the pharmaceutical industry. Spread the word. Ukguy
