A stiff, sharp-pointed structure, formed by modification of a plant organ, for example a lateral branch or a stipule. The series of vertebrae forming the axis of the skeleton and protecting the spinal cord; the fall broke his back.

Bear vs Gorilla Stand-Off. Who would win?

I think the gorilla could certainly win if it managed to jump on the bears back and hang on while it bit into the spine. It is also at an advantage in being more bipedal than the bear.
