1. Of or pertaining to soot; producing soot; soiled by soot. Fire of sooty coal.

2. Having a dark brown or black colour like soot; fuliginous; dusky; dark. The grisly legions that troop under the sooty flag of acheron.

3. (Science: zoology) Sooty albatross, a tern (sterna fuliginosa) found chiefly in tropical seas.

I need some information about the physical and structural adaptations of the Onychoprion fuscatus. common name: Sooty Tern. I have already checked wikipedia but there is no information on what I want and the only text book I have is Biology 2. Thanks in advanced.

:shock: those collombola have awfull sucking mouth parts. Ken, what is the last image of? mold? a product of collombolla? like the sooty mold of some other yucky sucking insects I have met?
