Sodium hyposulfite

sodium hyposulfite --> sodium thiosulfate

Na2S2O3-5H2O;an antidote in cyanide poisoning in conjunction with sodium nitrite; used as a prophylactic agent against ringworm infections in swimming pools and baths, and to measure the extracellular fluid volume of the body.

Synonym: sodium hyposulfite.
