A muscular bundle of heart tissue crossing the ventricular cavity from the interventricular septum to the base of the papillary muscles of the right ventricle.

Supplement

It was previously identified to prevent overdistension of the ventricle, and was named the "moderator band". However, recent study shows that it is part of the electrical conduction system of the heart.
