Senile fibroma

Medical terminology for skin tag, a polypoid cutaneous outgrowth consisting largely of fibrous tissue

Skin tags are common skin lesions that are often acquired through frequent skin rubbing. Thus, they are common in individuals who are overweight as they tend to have more creases – areas in the skin that are prone to skin friction and therefore to skin tags. Skin tags are more prevalent in adults than in children and increase in occurrence in people who are age 60.
