Sample sizes

sample size

The number of units (persons, animals, patients, specified circumstances, etc.) in a population to be studied. The sample size should be big enough to have a high likelihood of detecting a true difference between two groups.

... with restriction reaction (verify if your enzymes work on different sample) 3-there is a methylation of restriction site that blocks it for restriction ... looks like? How many bands can you see in each line and what are their sizes? How big the desired band should be?

Minor chemical contamination is unlikely to perturb the measurement ...

PCR and Gel conundrum

Why is it that when I run the exact same PCR reaction (with the same sample) on two different PCR platforms, that when I run it on a gel or on Qiaxcel I see that the bands are running at different sizes? The difference isn't significant but enough to be noticable.
