Rouge

rouge

1. (Science: chemistry) A red amorphous powder consisting of ferric oxide. It is used in polishing glass, metal, or gems, and as a cosmetic, etc. Called also crocus, jeweler's rouge, etc.

2. A cosmetic used for giving a red colour to the cheeks or lips. The best is prepared from the dried flowers of the safflower, but it is often made from carmine.

... degree instead of a doctorate. That would mean I could stay here in Thibodaux since NSU has a master's program, instead of going back to Baton Rouge for a doctoral program.

... an enviro degree. No big deal of course, since that means I get to move back to my home town for two years! I'll probably be coming back to Baton Rouge after I graduate to pursue a doctorate at Louisiana State University. So it's an exciting future to look forward to!
