rhamnaceous

(Science: botany) Of or pertaining to a natural order of shrubs and trees (Rhamnaceae, or Rhamneae) of which the buckthorn (rhamnus) is the type. It includes also the new Jersey tea, the supple-jack, and one of the plants called lotus (Zizyphus).
