Re: separation problem with GelRedSadly I did not help us out. In our lab often we want to check early if we have good product/restriction pattern. And with GelRed gels have to run longer to get nice bands. But it helps indeed if you run longer. Then result can be nice.

rflp pcrWELL IT VERY GOOD QUESTION. RESTRICTION FREGMENT LENGTH POLYMORPHISM HAS AN ENOROMOUS ROLL ON MOLECULAR BIOLOGY. IT IS USED TO STUDY THE POLYMORPIC NATURE OF ANY DNA SEQUENCE. BESIDES THIS IT IS ALSO USED IN FORENSIC SCIENCE FOR DNA TYPING.
