1. Exceeding what is natural or necessary; superabundant; exuberant; as, a redundant quantity of bile or food. Notwithstanding the redundant oil in fishes, they do not increase fat so much as flesh. (Arbuthnot)

2. Using more worrds or images than are necessary or useful; pleonastic. Where an suthor is redundant, mark those paragraphs to be retrenched. (I. Watts)

Synonym: Superfluous, superabundant, excessive, exuberant, overflowing, plentiful, copious.

... logic to construct theories. The science is not wrong, it may need a bit of terminology polish up soon, which is expected but it is by no means redundant.

non-redundant primers

... that sequence I'm lost...also because I do not know how to find AA sequences that have the least redundancy, so that the primer can be as non-redundant as possible (I'm also not sure of what non-redundant is/means under this context! :? ) Hope someone could come across with the answers! Don't understand replica plating...

... Subsequently, the cells that differed from the replica plate that were on the master (original) plate were unable to metabolize lactose. This is redundant since the mutagenized cells were initially selected for their defects in metabolizing lactose. Why would this last step even occur?
