A substance capable of bringing about the reduction of another substance as it itself is oxidized; used in photography to lessen the density of a negative or print by oxidizing some of the slackened silver.

... Although I was thrilled to finally have some sort of diagnosis, I am not completely convinced this is what I have. The treatment (acid reducer, daily) doesn't seem to help.

... ligament. They took that out. I left the hospital shortly after that. The pelvic pain is now gone. Hurray. They put me on Prevacid a stomach acid reducer and I could finally take more than a couple bites of food. I could actually eat regular meals. But the excessive bloating still continues and ...
