rectus femoris

(Science: anatomy, muscle) origin, anterior inferior spine of ilium and upper margin of acetabulum; insertion, via common tendon of quadriceps femoris into patella, and via patellar ligament to tibial tuberosity.

Synonym: musculus rectus femoris, rectus muscle of thigh.

... :( . Question: Is sartorious muscle more superficial comparing to the rectus femoris muscle or is the other way around? I looked at the muscle model and it confused me ...
